  1. Woo hoo. Congratulations. Jacob and I called it. Lol. We were about to have to resort to posting some free catwalk to see if you'd ever resurface on the forum! Hard to believe he's 3x the weight our youngest was born at, still looks tiny next to that hand. You need to get an in tank shot of him. Too bad you don't fit in w all the rock now. Now stay off the forum and SLEEP. It'll make sense in a couple days...
  2. Ill take my 2lbs broken up into 1/8's please
  3. That's insane. They didn't even try to explain how your heater may have exploded which I'm sure you did ask. Fwiw I've never had a hydor heater worth anything aside from my eth300 inline that I used on my fw planted tank. It was rock solid stable for a couple years.
  4. 2kw heater...lol. you know you've got too much water when that's on the grocery list.
  5. To store RO/di in my garage. Tank and potentially emergency use. 275g goes a LONG way. As long as you kept it agitated it would probably do well w smallish heater. My main concern outside would be the sun...the water would get quite warm...potentially good for any minute bacteria that may feel the need to get in there.
  6. I spoke to the Guy that is selling them today. He hauls these for a living w his rig and delivers syrups for margarita mix to whatever facility...forget where. Pressure washer and steam clean was method used, no chemical wash of any kind. There are 17 available. Seems promising. They're standard 48x40 pallets size and 44" tall. He said they are about 1 1/4 tons when filled depending on the liquid of course. No idea what empty weight is. My guess is 4 guys to load on a trailer unless he happens to have a fork truck.
  7. I'm not sure of this exact seller though it could be the same person for all I know but I was told once it was used for concentrated berry flavoring. They just seemed kind of nice, I assume that lid looks like it is several inches in diameter. Drop a mag in there and you're set to get the water to your tank. Could probably even drill it and install a grommet to feed a line through for that and your RO fill line as well. This isn't what id use as an ato by any means, that just screams distaster waiting to happen. Its more of a make a lot od water at once and not deal with it for 3 months at a time plus having the excess RO on hand for emergency use whether its tank or family related is nice as well. Ill have to ask a few more questions. This is rather large as well, it was just appealing as if it needed moved for whatever reason I have access to a pallet and wouldn't need to empty the container.containers
  8. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/grd/3728709168.html Its not the first time I've seen these pop up. Anyone have any experience or comments?
  9. Put me down for 2. Never ran it before might as well give it a shot
  10. Ah. I'm on mobile most of the time and didn't see his tank details... Lighter/bigger sounds good but keep in mind that can also limit aquascaping possibilities. I ran into that with some huge rocks I got for my 90.
  11. 150 that's 48x18? How tall is your tank?
  12. Good to know! I know what membrane ill be buying when the time comes.
  13. I hear that ALL the time. Sometimes its in a nice tone, other times not so much. I had our living room literally full of stuff 48hrs before our youngest daughters 1st bday a couple weeks back. That's one of the not so nice times, lol. In my experience that's your next step. Go squirrel it away somewhere for a few and if it has to come back so be it tell her its something different. Will buy you time. Good luck!
  14. I plan to move to those membranes at some point, heard nothing but good things. They come tested w and rejection rate is actually written on the label. Obviously that's at the 60psi/77* of course.
  15. Had a Jager nuke some corals I had sitting in a bucket while figuring out a home for them... probably $300 lost there. It happens. Not my first heater gone bad and probably not the last.
  16. Without drilling you'll have to use an overflow box. I personally would DIY w athe common availableones glass tankand unless you just want to spend hundreds on a sump that wouldn't be adequate for the larger tank you say you'll be upgrading to later in the year. Unfortunately due to the dimensions of a 55 your options are severely limited as far was what can fit under there. What are the inside dimensions of your stand? I'm guessing about 11 3/4" or so since the tank is 13" deep. Figure out the sump before you even look at a Skimmer because that'll be the limiting factor. If possible can you just keep the Skimmer you have, again so not to spend $200+ on an in sump that won't service a larger tank.
  17. It has rounded claws like an emerald, somewhat lighter colored on the tips. Weird, pics don't show up on mobile. Is that always the case?

  20. WTF is this little guy? it's perhaps 1/2" in size. When you google for hairy brown crab with blue eyes you get 1001 different crabs. Black claws, red eyes, etc. I'm assuming it's one of the "symbiotic" type crabs when in a large colony is alright based on what I have found so far but being in a 5" or so colony with some damage to probably 40% of all the tips I almost have to assume it's the crab as there are no other predators in the tank...it's not in my main display, yet. The only other things in the tank are some cleaner shrimp and peppermint and the damage was already done to the specimen before introduction, though it may be worse...I've been preoccupied the past few days and really haven't paid much attention, thus the algae on the glass It's been on there for several weeks now I assume as it came from the original owner for sure.
  21. Weird, seems right based on what I saw in this video http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/video/view/150gpd-upgrade-kit-installation-instructions-video/ I assume that's the kit you bought since it's the only thing I saw on there. Seems pretty straightforward, feed original waste line to new membrane housing, Y the product water lines together and then into whatever finishing touches you have like ASO or whatnot. They don't mention changing the location of a restrictor in that video unless I just happened to miss it.

6x???mm. Sorry I'm not into trucks. I like it lower to the ground and a little faster. I know my share of car/truck junkies though and could probably point you toward someone/something however. Stewart...rockstars and grapplers? Wouldn't have seen you as the type. Lol.
  23. I'm down for something at my house on a Fri/sat/sun doesn't mater to me. You're welcome to bring a smoker Rain or shine as I have a screened in back patio. You guys pick the date! Those look great Shane. Brandon...you're seriously holding out on me. You could have brought me a ribeye tonight while getting your DI filled. Seems like a win to me.
  24. That's pretty crazy...2 600 gallon holding tanks just to add volume. I wonder what the monthly electrical demand is for that thing...that's a LOT of MH. Cool sump, I like the "sock array"
