29G Biocube HQI w/ Kessil A150W
temple2101 replied to temple2101's topic in Tank Showcases & Camera Talk
I actually sold everything in July. Before the sale, I really didn't see a ton of growth to be honest. Everything looked healthy and happy but growth was slow. The new owner ended up using an A360W and has seen much better growth. I sold the livestock separately so the new owner started fresh so there could certainly be other factors besides lighting. -

Hey all! I've only posted a few times on here but I thought it would be nice to introduce myself and display a few pics of my setup. A little less than a year ago I decided to get back into saltwater after about a 10 year hiatus. I was keeping a freshwater planted tank, but it wasn't doing it for me so I found a Biocube, got rid of the freshwater tank and started collecting equipment. I wanted to do it right, so I took my time and by October 2013 I was ready to begin. Here's a list of the equipment: - 29G Biocube HQI - Kessil A150W (Ocean Blue) - Tunze 9002 Skimmer w/ inTank Cup (2nd chamber) - inTank Media Basket w/ Floss, Purigen and Chemi-Pure Blue - Vortech MP10wES - 100W Eheim Jager Heater - Tunze Nano Osmolator - Eheim Compact 1000 Return - Apex Jr. The tank has been running for about 7 months now and I feel like I'm just now beginning to get in the groove of things. At this point, I'm in maintenance and grow out mode. I think I have everything set coral-wise, I just need to wait for it to grow out. I say that, and I'm sure I'll find something to change in the next month or two. Anyway, tank progression is below, thanks for looking! Initial setup: Finally wet! Getting there... Current shots:

Luke - do you feed? If so do you target feed or just feed the whole tank? I just decided to keep my tank mostly zoas and have been looking into feeding and which food I want to try. Leaning towards Coral Frenzy.

Temple Where Did You See that Tank
temple2101 replied to jesterisdead's topic in General Reef-keeping Chatter
Hey just seeing this thread! I do what Blackacid said, but I also browse the pets section under "Community." Posts in the community section don't show up in your normal search of for sale items, but some people do post tanks for sale there. Good stuff is hard to find on CL but every once in a while something pops up! -
Thank you!!

I purchased a membership on 6/8 but I have yet to be able to access classifieds nor does it show that I'm a paid member. I've tried filling out the membership issue form and have messaged Avery Miller but have not received any response. Is there something additional I need to do? I have my PayPal receipt with subscription number. Thank you! Joe

New group buy for Jebao WP40 and WP25
temple2101 replied to Reefhappy's topic in General Reef-keeping Chatter
I'm in on a WP25 assuming the price is $55? Saw that price on another group buy in CA. Is this the controller you got on the WP40? It is slightly different than the one I see online for this product: Thanks! -

Any chance you know if these would include the new controller? Been thinking of trying the WP25 on my Biocube 29 I'm setting up, but have read it's too much with the current controller, even with a dimmer on it. Was hoping the new controller would allow you to turn down the flow enough to put this in a nano tank.
