( ) Excellent ( x) Good ( ) Fair ( ) Poor Sorry I like the ability of going over there and picking up stuff. I think you should be able to walk in at any time to get things. Their face to face customer service ( even on sat. ) is lacking. I havent tried to order anything online. I will say extremely reasonable with their LR. I wouldnt have bought any from them online because after seriously looking I could have found a better deal.

Are they up and posting yet? I bought the coral prop book. Theres ton of practical advice for everyone and its easy to read.

Well if their livestock is in such horrible condition. You should let us know. That way we can avoid that LFS.

I am a big fan of MH lights. You can really tell the difference. You can pick up a used system for decent on RC.

OK I am looking for some Prop tanks for a system. I want something that I can rack. I like multiple tank systems I seem to have good luck with them. I took a look at glasscages.com. I just would have to go pick them up. Anyone with suggestions please let them out.

Nikon D50 ~vs~ Canon Digital Rebel XT
Loco179 replied to Jeremy_B's topic in Tank Showcases & Camera Talk
I hear the D50 is pretty new right now. Thats all I know. Its pretty reasonable though. It might be worth it. -
I was looking at this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Its a local vendor on US 31. I know wheres its at. My questions.... 1. Is that a decent ballast? I use a very decent MH set up on my tank at the moment. 2. Bulbs. I didnt see anything about pulse start. I want to be able to switch his bulbs down the line with good ones. 3. This is for a future Prop system with multiple tanks. I want something that I wont have to worry about failing in a year. Opinions?

Ok I am looking for the thread to show you. Until then basically what you do is cut a bioball in half. Trim it down to fit over your impeller of your pump. Make sure you trim it enough so it still spins freely. Takes like 15-20 minutes to do. No cuting of your pump. Its quick and easy. Heres one. Instead of taking the stock impeller out I just put it over it. Still works and does a good job. You can pretty much do this to any pump. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=703977 Some cool seaclone mods. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=692991 Needle wheel mod ( same thing as bioball mod ) http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=691686 FRANKENCLONE!!!!!! http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.p...ht=frankenclone

Midwest Marine Conference 2006
Loco179 replied to cmpenney's topic in Meetings, Gatherings and Frag-swaps
Anyone ever gone? Theres really not a whole lot of information on their site. I was wondering if its worth it. -
I can tell you how to do the bioball mod. It really really improved my seaclone 150 to the point where I am not going to upgrade skimmers. I was considering going ahead and modifying it with a hose to a bucket because of how much foam it produces. BTW its on my 55 gal reef.

Rock on. Any idea on the tank selection?

Where is that? I need some shallow rr tanks.

Ok new to this reefkeeping stuff. I heard polyps were pretty easy to keep for a reef. So I have 2 different types and a brain coral in my tank. After over 2 months they are all growing fast and seem very healthy. The thing is when I brought one of them ( yellow polyps ) there were on a tiny piece of rock. So I want to place them one of my large pieces of rock. Can I do this? If so how do I do this? I have heard you can but I cant seem to find any solid answers. Thanks for helping me out again.

Ok new reefer here. I was wondering what additives everyone uses for their corals. Everyone has their ways just curious what yours are.
