How hard is a scooter dragonet to keep? i understand they're not like the manderin's (which i wanna get down the road after the pods develop more) in that they don't go after the pods but sift the sand for food. is this how it is? i really like the personality of this fish and hope i've got a home they would take.

i looked at the bicolor but i was told they get big and like the midas i had get nippy in a 24nano

i was out of town for 2 weeks on vactaion and had a friend take care of the fish. however lost on. my beloved 2 spot blenny. i have no idea what happened and can't even find remains, which isn't a suprise. i do wanna replace him. the other 3 fish (2 clowns and a rainfords goby) are fine and the corals are looking good too. so the question is this.... do i get another 2 spot or is there another that would be good? i want a blenny that will chomp up a bunch of algea and crap but don't want something that will grow like a lawnmower. and i don't want someone that will get agressive. i had a midas in there for 8 months but he grew and became a mean bugger.

i have a rainfords goby and like him very much. i have ordered for the tank a hi fin goby and pistol shrimp. do you think this could be a similar problem like yours? i hope not. does anyone else know of something like this happening?

I've got a little group of Zoo's I would like to frag and spread in the tank a bit. How do you do this?

i stocked the 12g (my first salt tank) in sept of 2004 and then went to the "big tank" 24 nano in feb. of this year. (i like the all in 1 of these nano cubes) so i'm not too new but yea, i know small isnt' best but the big ones just seemed a little intimidating. i've worked through the few problems i've had. but i've really taken it slow. not really experimented with a bunch of stuff. the reason i'm asking what may seem to be basic questions is just that i can read online or in a book about things i haven't had but with a forum people tell of personal experience which tends to be more interesting and informative. ya know? but i appreciate the concern. i'm planning on a 75 in a few years which will be the "big big" move! do you have any ideas? on some little crusty critters? haha will pistols dig up so much that it is a problem or just a little cave to live in?

i'm diggin' the idea of the xenia. if i've got some zoo's in my other tank too. for either how would i get some off and into the other tank? i dunno how to frag that stuff? any good ideas for fish? i've just got the 3 chomis in there but i could change that and move them out.

Emerald, Arrow, or Porcelain crab? what are thoughts on those? a candy stripe pistol shrimp and a hi fin goby have been ordered and on hold upon arrival at the abyss. idea's on those? i like the pair in the 12g nano on the desk and they agreed they would be fine in my set up. any conflicting ideas there before i buy them? Does anyone have a Monti Cap frag? i'd like to get a bit in my tank?

do you have a date in mind for this venture to cinci?

hmm i dunno about being a member then. i paid chuck at the frag swap but we had some problems getting me set up on here. what do i need to do to fix this stuff up? I WANT MY SILVER STAR!!!! Checked out the Anemone Hermit Crab....Creeps me out. I'm gonna keep looking.

ok yea the montipora is what i'm thinking. what should i know about them? would it be ok in my size tank? does anyone have frags of this?i checked out that anemone crab. do they need an anemone or something to host with? and i am already a member so i'll check out that thread. Thanks!

I would like to add a few things to my tank....my 24g nano. I dunno if all of these things could work but thats why I'm posting this. A crab of some sort. something interesting, ideas? A conch, has anyone had or have one now? I've heard good things about them from most people. Plate corals or whatever their called (montipora?) ? I don't know much about them and I'm trying to read up on them but whats the down low on them? does anyone have frags of this? And last question for now. What does everyone do? I'm new to this and would like to get to know people in this group.

After getting my new tank I'm left with my first Salt tank a 12 gallon Nano that I want to do something with. I thought I would do a fish only tank with 3 green chromis I got 2 weeks ago. But it is boring as I've found out. The reason I went with the Chromis is basically becuase of the price. I spent plenty on the other tank so the plan for the tank is CHEAP. So I was wondering about ideas for this tank. I thought about making this a little nano reef. But I'm open to idea's. If I do the coral thing I will be looking for more corals if there are free frags around?
