I am redoing my 75 reef tank and I have read so much information I'm a little baffled
First a little about my tank. I use RO/DI system on my well water - not heavy on iron but heavy on lime, no smell and crystal clear. In my tank I have softies, LPS and a few fish. After coming back from vacation over Christmas my tank had algae bloom after algae bloom so I decided to split my livestock and such into two tanks and redo my tank from the sump up. If I could go bigger, believe me I would
1. Carbon/GFO reactor. Question- Would a single reactor (looking at the one from BRS) be sufficent for my tank? or would it be better to have the dual reactors?
2.Sump Baffles. Question- I read somewhere to make them 10" high...is that right? or is that determined by the skimmer? my current skimmer is a Aqua C Urchin (I know I should get a bigger one <---I have no idea what kind).
Sump is gravity fed and returned with a 850gph pump.
3. to cook or not to cook??? Opinions Please- I keep going back and forth and cannot decided to kill most of my live rock or keep it and use other methods to clear it. I currentlly have apistasia and bristle worms (I remove large ones when I see them and kill apistasia with Joe's juice) thanks to a LFS and my new ness to the whole hobby three years ago
