tprize
I don't have the money really to buy a TDS meter, but I was wondering if anyone could bring one to the swap. I have been getting my water from the Kroger store locally, because it's RO/DI, but I really wonder just how good it is. I would be interested to bring it in and get it tested if it's easy enough to do. Let me know.
Scottdl99
I can try to bring my handheld with me. I may need a reminder though...What area are you located?
tprize
I can try to bring my handheld with me. I may need a reminder though...What area are you located? South side, but I will be at the frag swap so I can just bring a sample of water.
JokerGirl
I could also bring mine if Scott forgets his. Mine's been sitting in my car for the last month or so, so I'll most likely have it unless I just happen to clean the car out by then (I doubt it.) tprize
Thanks I'd really appreciate it, I just want to make sure I'm getting good RO water. How much do I need to bring?
JokerGirl
Just enough to dip the tip of the meter in... maybe 1/4 cup
tprize
Sweet, what time are you planning on going to the swap?
Scalare102079
You may be surprised, hopefully pleasantly... but history shows that those companies do not keep a very good eye on their units. I hope I am wrong though. What is acceptable for human consumption may still be out of range for reef systems!
JokerGirl
Sweet, what time are you planning on going to the swap? I'll probably be there for a while... or at least until the people I've promised stuff to come get their stuff
