Reefgurl
Welcome to INDMAS. That's a very nice looking setup. Can't wait to hear more about it. Thanks All! Let me give a complete breakdown of what we had done start from the bottom up: Sump: 30g with acrylic separators where three current division exits within the tank First has the Bag filter, heater and skimmer is also in this section we chose purposely to put it there. Sandwhich with charcoal filter is present from first to second section. Holes are drilled in the acrylic. Second section: bits of Texas Holey rock. Holes are drilled in the acrylic, however; hole locations are slightly and purposely off set Last Section: clean water is pushed back to tank. The pump is 1650 gallon per hour pump with a scwd attached at the back of the tank. We had two holes drilled in tank on either side and the overflow was off set, this was purposeful. Light kit(completely made by hand): LED Light kit 96 3w LEDs, the whites(72) are 7-7.5k and the blues are 21k (24) are 480nm. Roughly with the light balance we end up with around 11k coloration currently. We purposely chose this light balance the night look on the tank is pretty awesome! Amendments: We have made some changes to our sump to a Bubble Magus NAC7, and adding lighting with the Chaeto. We also raised our skimmer up this is intentional for it to work properly for us. Refuge <Guilty looking parrot...
