DEdwards
Could someone ID what I have in this photo? I'm thinking cyanobacteria but it hasn't darkened any. It looks like a clear mucus covering. I've only got a few patches so I'm not worried about it (plus it's a new tank)
Aquaman
I have had this on my live rock too.It has been about a year since I saw it for the first time.I really dont know what it is,but it has never got any bigger or seem to hurt anything in the tank.I am curious to know what is to. Scalare102079
Sometimes in new tanks with new live rock (or even LR from established tanks) you will have some die off, in this case it looks to be sponge, but the clear coat is a fungus working on the dead material.. again, this is a guess. btuck
I agree with the wise one before me. some sort of bacteria eating away happily.
