So I will be moving sometime at the end of the year/ beginning of next year. I will be going from city water to well water. Any thing I need to consider that would be different or need to prepare for? I will also be going from a slab to a crawlspace. I plan on putting it in the corner where 2 load bearing walls are. Will/ should I need to support the floor from below? This is a 200g 3'x4' tank.

Really sucks this is the first swap I will miss since I started reefing 7 years ago. Will be in Florida on spring break..... Was really wanting to get some corals to stock that back wall of my tank too.

I spent 15 mins scrubbing just a small area before giving up. I'm guessing it's what is and has been giving me fits for the past 3 months. At least the skimmer is pulling it out. Hopefully I can get it off the collection cup. Thoughts?

Bought me a big ole fat Blue throat Triggerfish from Modern last Friday. Had an itch to get something new like a coral or something and saw it in there. I just couldn't help myself lol. Still hasn't really came out I get glimpses here and there.

Finally the skimmer calmed down and so did the micro bubbles. Can't wait to see a nice big full cup of skimmate.

Now to get to the root of the microbubbles. I get a lot a velocity from the return. Also the skimmer seems to drop a lot of bubbles. Could the return pump or plumbing itself be causing the issue? I'll take some pictures later. Ideas? GO!

With the advice of Jeremy of running my skimmer full open for 2 weeks and pulling off my drain plug and letting it just drain back in the sump it seems I have an operational skimmer finally....Sheesh what a pain in the ass lol.

My friend is looking to rehome his 3 red bellied piranhas. They are the size of your hand. If anyone has any interest let me know.

I have one of those magnetic rock like frag racks and they look awesome and natural and kind of like a floating piece of rock. Mine has been in my tank many years so it looks just like everything else. I would never use one of those plastic racks again.

Do you have a raffle list?

700 seems low I believe the rule of thumb is 10x the tank volume.

Finally not filling up the whole collection cup in half a day. I hope whatever is/was in my tank is mostly gone. I had about an inch this morning which it had been always full in the past. I think that new carbon helped tons along with being able to keep up on dumping the collection cup.

Its my skimmer. It is still overflowing too not as bad. I am at the point that the cup fills up and I can dump it. Baby steps now. It is moving in the right direction though. I just changed out the carbon over the weekend again. Hope that will help as well. Will probably do another good sized water change again soon as it seems to help.

1 month in skimmer still giving me fits. Micro bubbles out the ass.

So I finally got around to doing this. I am busy as all get out, but it literally took me 15 mins to make and replace these without holes. I have one on each side of the lockline angled so when the water gets to a point they get to air and it breaks the siphon. At least my tank doesn't sound like a 747 anymore lol.

Thats good news for our hobby since it is a popular fish.
