You can find a similar product to this at menards for 12-14bux. You use it under your sink and hook your RODI system to it. I have used them for years, they work great. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/john-guest-angle-stop-valve.html

Yes, that is the hanna phos meter. The hanna phos and alk meter are two of the best tools I own for testing, they are wonderful. The calc hanna meter is garbage. Your API phos test is not a good testing kit. For TDS you can get something like this from amazon for a few bucks. If your adding petco ro water that has high tds your wasting money for one but more importantly, your adding impurities which will cause algae issue's. https://www.amazon.com/Jellas-Handheld-Household-Resolution-Accuracy/dp/B014QO4CI6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492445794&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=tds+meter&psc=1 As far as adding a rodi system you can do that very easily and non invasive. I keep mine under my sink in the basement. When I use it I just put the drain line into the sink and the good water line in my reservoir. I used a menards fitting to hook it up. You don't need a plumber to install it as its just screws into your water line. As far as your birds nest goes, its going to be more sensitive to dirty water vs lps or zoa's. Not sure what reactor you purchased but more than likely it can be used for carbon, gfo, probably most media's. You do not want to go buy a bunch of GFO and hook it up though as depleting your phos quickly(if you have an issue) can cause coral issue's. I would really see if anyone lives by you and take a sample over, let them check your RO water tds value's and then let them test your phos on a hanna meter. Generally you can store RO water for an extended period of time, but i would use a container with a lid.

Just got my refund from ebay.

TDS = Total dissolved solids. TDS should be 0 on your top off water. Faucet water in my town is at 300 tds which means it could have who knows what in it, but for a reef tank its metals, chlorine, arsenic....etc to name a few problems. When you say your getting your top off from petco what exactly does that mean? You mean they are using an RO and you get buckets of water for topoff? If thats the case I would be extremely cautious of their water as they are not known to use quality water. I am a bit skeptical with your test results as ammonia of 1.0 would more than likely kill all your fish and coral in your tank. Your alk has also bounced from 7.6 - 11.3dkh which is a huge swing, which could be dramatic to your corals. Fish wouldn't really care to much. When it comes to phosphates, the only real way to test is using a hanna checker. Maybe you could borrow one from someone close or bring a bit of water to someone to test. There are quite a few indmas members in Westfield. But honestly I would bet your source water is not great from petco if thats the case.

GFO = Granular Ferric Oxide. Its one of the best phosphate absorbers in the hobby. A few questions and I think we can get you pointed into the right direction. First thing i'll say is I doubt you are nitrate and phos free as the GHA and other algae's are feeding off something, they are absorbing it before your test's can detect. What test kits are you using? Where are you getting your RO water and what are the TDS figures? What kind of live rock are you using? What skimmer are you using? How long has the tank been set up?

Needing some LED fixture suggestions.

Yes, two would be fine for a 48" tank. Mikey, I think the OR or Photons would work fine for your tank. I would look at the photon v2's though if your leaning that way. -
I have been using the dollar tree super glue gel for 10yrs or so. I have tried others and been disapointed, but i know there are many out now that are nice.

I just started the process through ebay. Says if I haven't heard back by the 17th they will decide on refunding me. So i would start it sooner rather than later.

If your getting zoa's or poly's your method will work more than likely. If you are talking lps your method will be iffy and sps probably a bad idea. Ofcourse thats just my opinion, just don't want to see you waste your money on a coral that dies.

Tough to say as I can't find any info on the chemicals used in this product. It could have depleted the oxygen in the tank. All i can tell is its binding small organic's together so they can be pulled out by skimmer or mechanical filtration. Not sure what happens if you don't have mechanical filtration or an undersized skimmer or no skimmer. Sometimes its better not to add chemicals to your tank if you don't know what they are. I would never add this to my tank just because you really have no clue what its going to do to your inhabitants. Hopefully your wrasses survive.

Well I got a message from eBay saying the item was removed. Probably going to have to file a claim so that blows, oh well.

Yep, same here. If I hear back I'll post here

Anybody hear back from the seller? I haven't heard anything.

A couple pieces under blue led. Holy cow an lps!

Just keep them eating and monitor them, my guess they will be just fine. Ich can get in your tank from anything wet so coral, invert.....etc. So if you bought from multiple people at the swap the chances are good that you have ich in your tank imo.

Good to hear. To me it seems ludicrous to ship a fish from the ocean to holding facility to wholesaler to dealer to customer, then throw them in a box with pvc, then add chemicals to them multiple times, then watch them for 6-8 weeks. If they die it was due to the disease they had.........right right.... Get them comfortable after that terrible journey, feed them, give them something to pick at and graze and you will have a much happier and healthier fish.

If he is eating and acting normally I would imagine it will pass. Just make sure your feeding him high quality food like rods or lrs. There are two types of tanks out there in my opinion when it comes to ich. Ich present tank's and non ich present tank's. I have always rocked the ich present tank's and kept my fish extremely healthy to the point they would fight off nearly all types of infections on their own. When you have this type of tank and its a mature tank I have never had issue's adding fish to it, and they do not get ich when added. Don't get me wrong, I would not add a super infested fish to my tank, i'm not crazy! But i'm not scared of ich by any means. Many would disagree but I personally believe I have kept fish alive longer than many that treat with this for 6 weeks and treat for that for 4 weeks and this and that, basically qt'ing them to death, then saying they were sick and thats why they did not make it. If you QT a tang, butterfly, angel.......any sort of grazer in a small tank with pvc, chances are not good that its going to make it imo. And don't even get me started on FW dips

In order to determine that you'll need to get the par meter. Personally I like to keep your acro's between 300-600 par and lps around 100-150. If you are talking monti's then 200+, digi's 100+, milli's 150-600 as they have different colors in different intensities, i keep mine in 300ish. Deepwaters I keep at 300, tenius I like to hit with 400-600. But I would borrow the club meter and go from there.

Like mentioned, those are more than likely in there for detritus traps, like a filter sock. It looks like an old school sump and the skimmer compartment use to be a bioball compartment, then the filters after that. Get an ato! That is one of the can't do without items in this hobby. And get the largest reservoir you can fit as well. I wish i had a 100g reservoir.
