My kroger doesn't carry it anymore either. I found some at Marsh

CBB work great until they find a taste for acans. your cheapest way to fight these and kill them instantly is to use kalk paste, Mrs. Wages from Kroger for $4.00 will make about 1000 joe's juices.

I don't believe you probe is calibrated correctly, that ph seems too low, and the probes don't hold calibration much more than a few months. But if it is that low, I wouldn't change the ph too fast in a given day. Take your time bringing it up.

I feel your pain. Be grateful you woke up when you did ! That is a nightmare. Good luck drying out.

That is just a still pic I use as a background. I do have a camera, but my DSLow is to slow to justify streaming. -

I use my iphone all the time to control my apex. Even when I am home. Mostly when I need to do water changes, I can be in the water change room and turn display pumps on/off etc... Good stuff -
I second the motion on the Apex. Very nice. Running two ph probes is common.

This reminds me I need to get a gas powered generator. My power used to go out frequently and sometimes for 3 or 4 hours with no ill effects on my tank. I know the helpless feeling too well. I gotta get that generator.

Turning off main pump for a few hours per day?

Don't forget about your accessories. ie heater, chiller, skimmer, phos reactors, etc... Your sump and display may need to keep flowing. I'd turn down the power heads if anything. -
Magnet idea for fixing some corals to your tank walls.

Leech ?? What will they leech ? Just wondering because I have used plain old black bar magnets from Home Depot for years. Attached SPS, zoas, etc...before there ever was a frag mag. If my old fashoned mags are leaking I haven't noticed any damage to anything, not even any rust. Which I would think is a good thing. I remember Rob from PA would throw screws and other metals into his sump so they would rust. Instant phosban. -
Table Sign-up 2010 Frag Swap

Is that a typo ? "1/2 of a 6-foot table" do you mean 8-foot ?? -
I do not believe a 4 bulb T5 HO fixture would keep clams alive. I would get at least 6 bulb T5 HO for clams, 8 bulbs even better. LPS love T5's, again I would go with 6 bulb minimum for a 55G tank. I own 5 T5 fixtures, 4, 6, and 8 bulb. The 6 bulb is the best all around light.
