  1. Yeah I went with the tunze silence. I just got clamps to make sure the pipe was solid. So I'm not ready for the frag swap anymore because I may have filled the tank already.
  2. Here is a pic, I'm going to trim back to good tissue, unless others have different solutions.
  3. About 1.5 weeks after the move, the light is the exact same.
  4. I'll get some pics tonight, but it's a 25g lagoon, with a AI prime. The move was basic recycling 60% of the water, using the same rock, and 50% new sand. The sps is 8" off center of the light, with a max intensity of 70% so I have some room up and down for intensity. The light runs from noon to 1 ramp up 70% till 9pm and a 9-11 ramp down.
  5. So my small Acropora frag, looks like it's loosing it's flesh. I'm assuming this is due to the stress of the move. Should I trim it down to good tissue, and hope for the best? Also how do I make sure it's getting enough light / to much light in my new tank, in it's new position?
  6. So this has quickly become my favorite tank.
  7. I'll look at the sicce, turns out the tunze is to short.
  8. Setup my new 25g IM lagoon this weekend. Ready for the frag swap now! Setup 25g IM IM skimmer IM reactor with Phosbond Chempure blue Tunze 6040 Work to do still: Replace new tunze ATO that is defective with the IM hydro TI Replace rear pump with a tunze silent.
  9. How does the I tank media basket work differently then the IM custom caddy?
  10. I'm looking at 40g IM with IM midsize skimmer IM mini reactor Phosbond IM refugium light w/ cheato IM Custom caddy IM ato system AI Nano At some point I'll add an auto water change system.
  11. What store in town has the best selection of nano tanks?
  12. Looks like apex has a new system for doing auto water changes, and it will even email you to let you know you need to empty your container
  13. Mine will have to be fully self contained, so I will need to use more float valves, since I would need to have a fresh container, salt container, and waste container
  14. Wow that auto water change system is incredible. I don't see the liter meter system for sale anywhere, do they still make it, or do I just order it directly from spectra pure?
  15. So I am wanting to make my tank easier to care for. For the longest time I have had AIO tanks, and while they are not bad there are a few issues. The two main issues I have had recently are 1. equipment choices are very limited. 2. Water changes are a pain, since you are pumping water in and out of a tank 5 feet up in the air. I have become much busier in my life, and the tank is going to get less and less attention. I do not want to leave the hobby, but I do want to reduce my work load down to easier water changes, cleanings, and refilling things. I want to stick with a nano tank, but I would like to go to a sump for several reasons. 1. I can fit much larger equipment like skimmers in it. 2. I can have a refugium to let nature do some of my work . 3. more display room, and gallons of water. With all the background out of the way, my main question is: With all the great equipment available to us in this hobby what items have you added that you find are, worth the money, make the tank healthier, and make the tank easier to care for?
  16. So reduce carbon and increase phosphate removal.
  17. So recently I've been having a film grow on my glad rather quickly after cleaning. What are some steps to reducing it?
  18. He jumped out of the tank through a 2" gap.... Never had one jump before, I found him to late.
  19. So I added some new stuff. A tailspot blend, a high fin goby, and a pistol shrimp. The tailspot is scared and hides, and the goby/shrimp set up their house in the only spot in the entire nano you can't see them haha!!
  20. So my tank needs more movement / life. My tank is doing great, my corals are doing great, and I think it's time to add a few more things. Currently all I have for livestock is a tank bred oscellaris clown, a blue green chromis, and a selection of crabs and snails. I have a 20G 18" square tank, and am thinking about what else can I add, thoughts? I just want more life and movement in the tank Tank specs 18" 20g nano. Liverock Filter floss Eshopps nano skimmer IM Mini Max reactor with carbon and phosguard Purigen
  21. Good, I see Saturday hours as well. I'll have to check this out, does he carry livestock?
  22. I've noticed that since Premium moved so far south, I don't really know of any other good places to visit for corals, and quick items like food and chemicals. Any suggestions?
  23. I'll let you know how it does, if it recovers I better diversify, add some more acropora.
