That frag looks like a Bottlebrush... or Acropora Granulosa. -
Looks great, Jim! Those Deep Dimensions are awesome! James

Don't sound so sad, Mike... you didn't go home totally empty handed.... -
The fish in question were eating Rod's and Arcti-Pods. No, it wasn't an opportunity where the LFS could feed them. James

That is so cool! It looks like there's a decent amount of green in it as well. I'm glad to see it arrived and has settled nicely. Thanks Mike!

Need advice on planning my first tank

Your only other real options are the CPR Bakpak and the AquaC Remora. I have used all three and the Octopus was the easiest to set up and the fastest to break in. -

I too agree with the T5's. As for your question regarding if it will fit: The Nova Extreme (which is a very nice fixture for the price) has the leg stands that will give you 3-4" in the back for HOB fixtures. The Octopus HOB Skimmers are also very nice, but you really don't need anything other than the standard unit with surface skimmer. The Octopus Skimmers aren't the highest quality of construction, but they work. I used one recently on a 150 gallon system and was very impressed with what it pulled out. -
Hey Brandon, I will be out of town that weekend, but you are more than welcome to whatever you need from my supplies. Just let me know the specifics. James

At Lowes it's usually next to the ceiling tiles.

Joe's Juice comes with a syringe and yes, you want to physically inject it into the mouth. The issue that arises is it only kills the specimens you see and can get to, not the ones you don't. If you catch them early and get them all, you can eradicate them with the Joe's Juice.

I had a sixline and a yellow tail damsel work for me... I hear certain pipefish and arrow crabs work as well. James

Joe's Juice/Aiptasia Remover/Kalk/Lemon Juice will kill the individual specimen and generally doesn't do any harm to the system as long as you don't go crazy with it. There are several natural methods for removal and almost none of them are 100%. Copperband Butterflies, Klein's Butterflies, and Tiled Caribbean Filefish are the best fish choices. Caribbean peppermint shrimp are the best invertebrate choices. Pacific peppermints won't eat it, so if you go with the shrimp, make sure you're getting the right variety. I know I've missed a few options, but there are you... James

I'm sorry, Brian, but I will not be able to be there that weekend. It's my Thursday/Friday to work and I'll be out of town that Saturday. You are more than welcome to my large nets and pikstiks, though. James
-
I will definitely not be able to do that Saturday. I'll have to let you know about Thursday and Friday. James

I will have to work Friday, but should be fine Thursday and Saturday. James
