  1. Congratulations to the two of you!! Enjoy this special time with the little guy.
  2. Well I know it's been a while on this one, but I finally got around to building my lights and a box for the fixture. The only thing I have left to do is plug in the fans and wire it up to my Apex and VDM. Since it was only 25 lights across 2 12" heat sinks, it didn't take too long for me to get the lights all together. The best part of the whole thing is that I was so excited to finally be making progress, that I forgot to take any pictures. The only thing left for me know is to figure out how to suspend the new fixture over the tank.
  3. Darn it. Sounds like a good topic and there's always good discussion at an INDMAS meeting. Sorry I have to miss it.
  4. Very cool meeting today. Thanks for setting it up J.R.!!
  5. I thought we normally did Nominations in September and then Elections in October. Maybe I am mis-remembering.
  6. I should be there. Will likely be bringing the boy too.
  7. This thing was all the rage 6 or 7 years ago. Just a bunch of magnets inside a PVC tube, if I remember correctly. Garbage.
  8. Darn it! Been off the site for a while due to the issues and just checked back. I already have a commitment for this weekend.
  9. Has anyone notified MBrown? He's our Communication Chair and Web Expert.
  10. Well, sad to say my tank is in bad shape. Life got in the way this summer and the tank has been severely neglected. Oh, and the LEDs? Yeah, those are still sitting in the box waiting for me to build the fixture. Sad, really, to think about the $$ invested just to let everything sit. The outlook is not overly good either. Too many other, more important things going on right now for me to make the time to work on the LEDs. Hopefully I will find some time at some point, and then I'll post some pics. I promise.
  11. Send a PM to Avery Miller and noodlenugswife. One of them should be able to help you out.
  12. Will do. Save me a button.
  13. I'll be down bright and early on Friday morning. See you guys then!!

    I'm back

Welcome back Ed! Now we need to see some updated photos of that tank.
  15. I'll be there. Flying in bright and early on Friday morning. I know Plantguy and his wife will be there too. Not sure of anyone else making the trip down.
  16. Smart idea on waiting until MACNA. Most vendors/manufactures will have discounts, anywhere from 10-20% off. If you can wait a couple more weeks, you likely won't be sorry. See you in Dallas!
  17. I'll try to make this one so I don't get nominated for something.
  18. I won't be able to make this one either. My son plays baseball on Sundays, so I'll be at the ball field.
  19. Try sending a PM to noodlenugswife and/or Avery Miller. One of them should be able to help you out.
  20. I can't imagine that would have done it. Other than the mild fumes, there's no real airborne particles with that. I only know becasue I used the same product a couple of weeks ago with no issues. Granted for me, the tank and the primer location were far apart (basement and upstairs, respectively). I had't thought about the missing livestock suggestion. Are the two tanks on the same sump or are they independant of one another? If independant, and you had missing livestock in each, you have really good (or bad) luck.
  21. Very odd indeed. Are the tanks covered? Just thinking if there could have been something airborne that got into the tanks to cause an issue. Some sort of aresol or something. You guys have anyone over recently that you had previously pissed off? Partly joking on this, but could someone have poured something into the tanks?
  22. I'll have to miss this one as well. My son has his last baseball tournament this weekend. See you in August (I hope).
