  1. My last tank was a 210 with regular glass and now I have a rimless with the same thickness glass but low iron and the difference is very noticeable to me and I would choose low iron if costs are not outrageous. It is probably a hundred or two difference for the front panel to be low iron unless someone is really trying to mark it up.
  2. I will probably come too. I'm in between tanks right now so looking forward to seeing the reef setup.
  3. Terebellidae A type of spaghetti worm most likely.
  4. Yes. They lay white eggs in swirl patterns on the polyps
  5. Brown/Green Button Polyp - protopalythoa variabilis
  6. Wow you obviously don't know me or anything about me or the time and effort I've to the club in the 14 years I've been a member. My comments and questions are not a personal attack in any way. I'm not comparing you to any past Treasurer and I know you have the right credentials to do the job. The swap is typically our largest source of revenue and it is important to compare the profitabilty of each years swap equally so that better decisions can be made in the future to improve overall success of the event. While I have no intentions of running for office for the next 8-10 years, I still want to see the club continue its tradition of growth and improvement on the foundation laid by previous members. It was a big change and risk moving the swap so far out of Indy and I was strongly against the move and feel it was a rushed decision and have no issues saying it and a decrease in profitability was my biggest concern. I hope I'm wrong and the club broke all profit records or was at least average and the 2018 budget is still on target. Thanks for volunteering. I know how stressful and time consuming the two years on the BOD can be.
  7. From that pic the coral I can see look pretty good. What types of coral are having problems? Are you supplementing Alk and Calcium in any way?
  8. Membership renewals and new member signups are considered club revenue and not swap revenue and should not be counted toward the "profitablity" of the swap otherwise it will give a false comparison to previous swap revenue gains. I know I'm being difficult but I want to make sure numbers are being calculated the same as previous years. So if that approximately 3k profit includes membership fees you would need to subtract the $2560 off the swap revenue. Here is a link to last years #s and this year looks to be way less in revenue and profit. Please don't skew the numbers!
  9. Yeah I would like to see a real itemized breakdown of the numbers. Are those entry fees counting membership renewals too or just $5 entries? How much did the speaker cost to bring in etc?
  10. The profit/loss will be what matters and look forward to seeing those numbers posted as well. I had a great time at the swap regardless of the where the numbers end up. It did seem a little slower than normal and turnout seemed down a bit. The raffle crowds looked smaller too, but could all just be an illusion due to the extra space. The staff and volunteers were awesome and that can't be said enough!! Hope the club has plans to continue looking for a more centralized location as this one was really far off the Interstate.
  11. Looks like a lightning maroon clown. Some have much more of the white pattern. They show up on liveaquaria pretty regularly for less than a hundred dollars for singles.
  12. Digitate Hydroid is what they are called. They are mildly irritating to some coral like zoas and palys. They usually go away on their own.
  13. If they start laying eggs you will have them hatch in about 8 days. Personally, I would just wait until they are laying really nice clutches on a regular basis and that way you can have everything you need in place to give you the best chance of success.
  14. yes please give us the map. If the hobbyists are being separated from the main hall and vendor area then we should know this ahead of time before asking us to pay up.

  16. Still using the lumenmax reflector I got from you too. My light rack would be a pain to reconfigure so I haven't messed with it much. If I set up something different in the future, I may go all t5 and add led supplements or just just a good combo of both.
  17. I still use vho to supplement 3x250 hqi metal halides on m80 ballasts on the dislpay. My frag tank has a 6 bulb tek t5 fixture. Both tanks have good growth.
