  1. I have this on two different tanks and love it. It has been very dependable for well over 1.5 years. Soory about the BRS post but thats where I bought it so I copied the page. One tank is 20 gallons and the other is 55 gallons. The piece that determines the water level is small. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/duetto-dual-sensor-complete-aquarium-ato-system-xp-aqua.html
  2. Person on Reef2Reef made a home-made removals tool. I tried it and it worked. Here is the link: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/anemone-removal-invention.778278/ Brent
  3. +whatever on the smart ATO. Had it on a 55 gallon aquarium and it did great. Its quite too.
  4. I used Dr. Tim's cycle process with new unseeded rock. The sand was "live" sand. I used Dr. Tim's One and Only, MicroBacter7, and Prodibio Digest as the bacteria additives. It still took a solid 3-4 weeks to get through all the peaks and valleys of ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. I can not tell you anything about the tanks that are setup in a day. All I can tell you is take the cycle stage slow and steady as that is the most important part to a solid tank. Test daily for ammonia and nitrites until you have that under control and then start on the perimeters. I documented my cycle on reef2reef.com Here is the link: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/cycling-levels.544637/ and also https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/cycling-new-tank.537812/
  5. Once you arrive at your destination pour the buckets into your brute trash can and warm the water. Concentrate on keeping the 5 gallon buckets that contain the living creatures warm with several hand warmers or even find a car inverter that you can plug a heater into.
  6. Thanks again for the help and suggestions
  7. Thank you! So would I be better off putting the rock and coral in one container with a heater, Vortec MP10, and air stone and in another container put the fish and a heater, MP10, and air stone? Or just put them all in a 50 gallon trash can on wheels with the heater, 2 MP10's and an air-stone or two? I'm also guessing I want to keep enough water in the tank to cover the sand, correct? I'm also using this move as an opportunity to clean up my electrical wiring and give my sump a good cleaning. Any other suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Following this cause we are replacing our carpet in the next month or so and I have the same concerns. Although mine are much smaller. 54 corner with sump.
  9. Just bought mine. Who do I PM to work out shipping or a pick up?
  10. I won't be able to make but would be interested in the calendar. How do I go by getting one? Also can I see the pictures that were selected for the calendar on here anywhere?
  11. Would love to go but will be in Anchorage Alaska for a wedding that weekend. Bummed!
  12. Got it now. Sorry for the previous posts.
  13. This sucks. That is a huge investment and I'm sorry you are going through it. 10 years is a hell of an investment and I hate to see you leave after a setback (albeit a huge setback.) Please let us all know if there is anything we can do to help.
  14. So sorry to hear. I agree with Jeremy though. Wait two weeks before making any rash decisions.
  15. Don't know if you have already found what you were looking for but I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Hydro-Flow-Vinyl-Tubing-Black/dp/B003SOAGAY/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=1+inch+clear+tubing&qid=1569334006&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011%2Cp_n_feature_eleven_browse-bin%3A3622112011&rnid=3622110011&rps=1&s=industrial&sr=1-7 50' and comes out to be around $1.42/foot.
  16. First off I am digging the aquascape. Secondly that is not a normal pump sound to me. I have had really good luck with the Sicce Syncra silent pumps. Not sure of your location but The Reef in Indy carries these pumps and so does BRS (link below). They are real quite. Also be sure to get some good soft silicone tubing. https://aquarium.bulkreefsupply.com/search?w=sicce syncra silent
