  1. I thought there was a thread with info about pre sales. A place to put pics up for sale and purchase. I swear I looked at something within the week or so, but I can't seem to find it.
  2. Not sure for sure but looks like your additives precipitated. This happens in aquarium when magnesium levels are low and we add calcium.
  3. Yes it was a very nice setup. I will definitely shop again. Let's hope they make it.
  4. Yes they are open for walk ins. I believe the hours are 12-5 pm. And yes by the reef aquarium shop.
  5. So I got some info. There has been a name change and a business plan change. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This is a marineland overflow kit just like mine. I went to the hardware store and replace the elbow with the siphon hole with a new one with out the hole. As long as the return outlet is high enough to suck air when it loses power everything should be fine. Oh and you have enough sump height so as to not overflow.
  7. Yes I would like to try it. I've removed it from the tank and contacted tunze. I have a felling I'm going to be sending it in. So it would be nice to eliminate blame on any parts I can.
  8. So I've noticed one of my tunze powerheads struggling to stay on. It will turn off and on seemingly randomly as it goes thru it's pulse setting. It's not loud but it's very jumpy seems like it moves a lot. Acts like its got something stuck in it but I've cleaned it twice hopeing to fix it. Anyone have any thought. It's a new powerheads. Got from premium at the beginning of May it's been running since the end of May.
  9. I'd have to agree I think it's acting like a skimmer. The drain is below sump water level by 10" or so. I wish at this point I could slowdown the foaming till I get my skimmer. I'm neting it out three times a day. Another thing is there is no odor to it... Yet. So I'm still not 100%
  10. No skimmer yet but that kinda makes sense tho the overflow is acting like the skimmer and the socks are not new
  11. So my 180 gallon has been running for a week and doing this foaming thing. I didn't experience this with my 90 gallon and so I'm looking for some insight as to the cause and possible fix. The tank just has dry pukani, ocean direct live sand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Depending on how deep the sand bed is. I keep about a 1" sandbed, and I siphon it once a month, during water change. Maybe it's your frequency how often do you vac?
  13. Going to be upgradeing to a 180 sometime soon. It's going to have 150lbs of dry pukani so was wanting some opinions on using salted tap water rather than RODI. Once cure/cycle is complete I will do a 100% water change and use RODI. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  14. So I wrote to The Exotic Reef on Facebook. Made him aware of INDMAS and about this thread. He replys with this. Hey thanks for the mention! We are a start up soon to be "wholesale only" coral shop. We import directly from Fiji, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Australia. We have over 500 corals on display at all times! Send me a message if you want to come check us out before we become wholesale only!!
  15. Interesting for sure. Maybe a merger in the future.
  16. First let me say that I'm a new member since the 2016 frag swap and this is my first post, so I'm a little nervous. Lol. Anyway a co-worker mentioned a new shop to me. I haven't heared anything about this so I looked into it. Name of the shop is The Exotic Reef. Location is 2700 E. 55th place Suite 3 Indianapolis IN. They are a coral store only, and business hours are by appointment only. I could only find them thru Facebook however they do have a site link you can click on. http://www.theexoticreef.com/ Has anyone checked them out? Or have any additional info on them?
