  1. So I just bought a calcium reactor for the new tank. This is all new to me. I understand the basics but looking for any tips to set it up and maintain it. Should I tee off my return or use an aqua lifter/ small pump?
  2. So as many of you know I am changing from my 180 down to a Deep Blue Rimless 80. Most of the equipment will be new including power heads. Half of my controller on one of my wp40s went out so figured I would change power heads on the new tank. Anyone have suggestions on what to use? I've loved the wp40s and have had them for a few years. For the cost they have been great. Quiet and powerful. It's hard for me to justify spending almost $600 on mp10s but do like the clean look. So should I go with Rw4s, mp10, gyre 130, ect. ?
  3. When I used it, it cleared up after a few hours at most. It would create a film on the inside of the barrel if I let it mix for like 3 days or more. How long do you mix it for and at what temp?
  4. My skimmer (prime 200) is the same way. From what people have told me it's because you have a low bio load or the nutrients are getting removed another way and there isn't much to remove
  5. 1. 180 gallon tank plus 75 gallon sump. Around 210g of water volume after rock, etc. 2. Weekly 3. 15% 4. Cleaner tank and water, better polyp extension, color, happier everything.
