  1. No, they are shipping it direct to my old neighbors house.
  2. Great, thanks. I am coming back to Indy to get my African Grey Parrot(finally got all the proper permits) on May 15th so I will stop in PA and get one then.
  3. I know the new Tunze Osmolator ATO come with magnetic senser holders, but can you order them for the older versions. I would love to upgrade mine to these mag holders. Does anyone know if this is possible?
  4. Woke up to 2" of snow this morning....urrrgh

  5. Well I contacted PA,where I got the tank, and my tank is still under warranty. So they contacted Current for me. I am getting a new tank, top and light. The only thing is they won't ship to Canada. So when I return home in a couple of years I will have a new tank waiting for me. I will have to use this one and deal with looking at the scratches on the front glass for now. And I just need to make sure the light is tighten on it on a regular basis. Thumbs up to Premium Aquatics and Current, they were both quick to respond and great to work with in this situation. I am very pleased with the service from both.
  6. Be aware, they are known for nipping LPS and SPS. But I am planning on some different color BTA's for this tank. and have been told they will not bother BTA's. I have 2 frogspawn now, but not sure if it will nip at them. I just needed something in the tank now, LOL It is still new and need tank to mature more before adding BTA's
  7. I like that light hanging kit also. Great job with it. Maybe you should patten it and start selling them. LOL
  8. I had the AC Jr on my old system in the US. I really liked it. A little hard to understand at first, but when you get the hang of it then it is easy to program. The clock would always get faster, there is a way to adjust that but it always seamed like it needed a little adjustment every now and then. That was the only problem I had with it. I have the RKL now, not the plus, but don't have it hooked up yet, so I can't comment on that one.
  9. yes, please let me know where your swivels. Thanks
  10. It is designed to swivel to make it easier to feed, maintance and things. Upon closer inspection I found that the part I think is suppose to swivel is not and it is swiveling at the colar to tighten it. Therefore it is actually loosening the light causing it to slide down. Does that make sence? Katrina is right, there is a larger tube and a smaller one that slides into it. Then there is a collar on it to tighten it, making it adjustable. I think the larger tube is suppose to be the one to swivel but it does not. The smaller one is the one swiveling. so everytime you swivel, move it, you are loosening the collar that is suppose to hold it in place. I think this may be the problem. Design problem, maybe yes IMO.I will have to keep a close eye on it.
  11. Congrats! That is awesome...a new future reefer!!
  12. This is what is left of my solana glass top. I heard a crash and then the beeping of my osomolator signaling that my tanks water level just got too high. Went running in to find my glass top in pieces inside my tank! Luckly there is only 2 small clowns and two small frogspawn in the tank and they are ok. I was going to replace the top with a DIY bird netting top anyway. But it put 4 or 5 small scratches on the front of my new tank when it fell in! And I think I have figured out what happened too. The disco ball light came loose and fell onto of the glass and broke it. But why did it fall down?? And at least the light stopped just short of hitting the water also!! That could of been a real disaster. Come to think of it I have noticed a few times that the light was lower and I had to raise it again. Not sure why yet this is happening. I did put the pieces back together to make sure I got all the glass out of the tank. Not a good way to start my day
  13. More updates. Two of the clown fish have been added to the solana. These two were starting to pick on the third one and he is much smaller than the other two. I don't think they let him eat as much as they are chasing him all the time now. So I decided to take the two bigger ones out of qt tank now before I added the lemonpeel to the QT tank. Once again it is not a very good pic but, you can see how small they are by the ruler. They are twice a big as the third one that is still in the QT tank.
  14. Update! This is my new addition. Still in QT now. It is a Lemonpeel dwarf angelfish. It is doing great so far. Some of the pic are pretty blurry as this little fish is a very active swimmer and hard to photo with my camera. In some of the pics its blue color looks white but it is actually a beautiful blue, but here it is anyway. See one of my baby clowns in top center of pic. They are very tiny.
  15. Yeah, I thought the other snails would of cleaned it off. Quess it does need better friends.
  16. Today I do plan on pulling the snail out and giving it a good hair cut/cleaning. I will siphon out what I can out of the sand. I did put a cup of sand from LFS to help speed up the seeding process. Maybe that was a mistake. The snails was in tank about a week or two before I left too so that one must have had some of it already. Nothing else in the tank yet except a small frogspawn. So no one was here to feed the tank. ATO is hooked up so the water level stayed the same.I just hope I can get it contained before it gets out of hand. There are about 7 snails in there now. Maybe I need to add a few more. Looks like I will be doing several water changes in the next few days and weeks.
  17. I came home from an 8 day vacation to this mess. Somewhere under all this algae is a snail My daughter calls this the chia pet snail It's also in the sand
  18. Thanks everyone. Now I just need to get a better camera and learn how to take great pics. I will keep you updated.
  19. I finally got my tank set up. Have the saltwater,LR, LS and a few snails added. I am going with a less is more look. I am planning on a clown/bta tank. Will probably add a few other corals to start with since I can not add anemonies till tank matures more (around 8 mo. or so) I also have 3 tiny baby false perc clowns in QT tank now. They may have to stay there a couple of months more or longer, as they are very small. Just under 3 months old. I know I will have to get rid of one of them when they get older. They were $10 ea or buy two get one free, that's why I have 3 now. Got them from a local guy that raised them. His first succesfull batch. Here are some pic of the tank. You can see more in my gallery. No pic of the clowns yet. I will try and get some later. Getting ready to go on vacation on Friday so not doing much with tank right now. Once I am back I will start stocking. Equipment list: 34 gal Solana Solana black stand HQI 150 watt(disco ball) light, stock bulb for now Tunze Osmolator Auto Top Off 5.5 gal tank in stand for top off water ReefKeeper Lite Controller (not hooked up yet) MP10 PH (not in tank yet) Aqua Heat Titanium Heater Sapphire skimmer Front view Left side full tank shot
  20. thanks everyone, the fish seam to eat it and are doing fine, so it must be that it is just smelly food. I won't worry about it.
  21. I have 3 very tiny clown fish and bought some frozen cyclops food for them. I have never used this food before. It smells really bad. Not fishy smell just bad nasty smell. Is this normal or did I get some the has maybe been thawed out and refrozen and gone bad in the process. Does anyone have any experience with this frozen food? thanks
