  4. Figured out what the nitrate spike was... It was user error. My nitrates were actually 1.9ppm. Make sure you clean the Hanna checker bottles super well. It can leave nitrite in it and throw off your tests. Also thank you @MrsBugmaster. I hope other start updating their threads and maybe we can get this web alive again!

  33. I will not be there as I have a craft fair Saturday, but Alan may. But as Bob said we need to continue with the growth of the club and without everyone we wouldn't have INDMAS. Definitely made many friends on a hobby that my husband has gotten into. So please help INDMAS continue going by volunteering for these positions! We are definitely a one of kind and the best club out there 😉 I vote for Kyle Miller as membership again!

  34. This is one of the most important meetings that we have as our committee chairs, secretary, and treasurer are up for election. Please keep in mind that this club only works if people volunteer. If you have not volunteered yet, please give this some serious consideration. I can't tell you how much this club has meant to me in regards to my own growth in the hobby through the education that is offered and also the great friendships I have made via the social side of the club at monthly meetings over the past 9 years. Without people volunteering for committee chairs, officer positions, and staff positions, this club will not be able to continue to exist. As many of you are already aware, many clubs have already shut down during and since COVID. I would be extremely disappointed to see our club cease to exist as well. I have so many great memories of the education topics that have been provided, social interactions at meetings, and trips...locally and nationally. We have a lot on the plate for next year such as the FRAG Swap, monthly meeting calendar, education topics for the monthly meetings, etc. Personally, I will continue to support the club's committees and hosting the new member meeting. Mike's oldest son, Michael, is getting married next Saturday so I will not be able to make the meeting.

  35. The August meeting will be at Luis's (Gonzo620) home at 1727 Jacques Drive in Lebanon IN on Saturday August 5th from 4pm to 6pm. NOTE DATE is 1st Saturday in August Luis has a very well though out 180 gallon display tank with great attention to detail for his system. Additionally most of us do not get the chance to venture to out of the area stores. That gave us an idea to organize a field trip to Aquarium World in Lafayette. Aquarium World setup at the frag swap in 2021. The idea is to meet at Luis at 12:30 to 1pm and carpool to Aquarium World in Lafayette. This is not part of the official club meeting and we will return to Luis' for the meeting. Let us know if you might be interested and we will update the thread if we have the interest. Josh the owner of aquarium world is working on some club specials. Please RSVP below for both events the same day. And a reminder for 2024 the frag swap will be Saturday March 9, 2024 at Northside Knights of Columbus Save the Date
