What wattage are your MHs and how far off the surface are they? Also, when was the last time you changed bulbs?

Besides the goby, what other livestock (fish, corals, inverts) do you have in the tank?

What kind of water flow do you have in the tank?

What kind of filtration do you have on the tank?

Water parameters: pH, Alk, nitrates, phosphates, calcium, temp, Specific Gravity?

Temp is an important factor as well as everything else. BTA's can most of the time be very picky to water flow, temp, alk ect. If you have a bta traveling around it is usually because it is not happy due to lack of light, food, too much or not enough flow. Generally with mine they like lower to medium flow and they are about halfway down in a 90 gallon tank with 250's directly over them. I do hand feed them 1-2 times a week and they do not move. It may be a lot of little things bothering it, tough to narrow it down without knowing all your params. Even then it may still be tough. How is everything else in your tank doing? How often do you do water changes? Do you run any additives or phosban or anything? And hopefully last question...how long was it seemingly doing well before you noticed a change, or had it ever been doing well?

sorry for the long winded post blush.gif

dont have any other anenomes it was doing good then one day he just shrank and started moving everywhere but other than that my corals are doing good getting bigger everyday fish are fat and i was feeding it 2 times a week for about a year with no problem but just today it stopped moving and it ate but still small i think temp was the issue cause i turned on the heater and it just stopped. to answer your question i do water changes 1 a month 20percent as for additives i just add magnesium calcium component for alkalinity called bi-onici also add dt's as for phosban im gonna check it out ill post a pic of the anenome so you can see thanks guys

if there was a sudden temp change I could see it becoming not happy...maybe as the temp dropped outside it did as well in your tank. I would monitor your temp for a week or so and make sure you are not fluctuating very much...Stability is key.. Hope all works out well for you and cant wait to see the pics :)

I am not sure I would try the phosban without knowing you phos level first. I was asking if you were running it because you can definately run too much! If you decide your going to do it, you need to introduce it slowly to the tank. Before you start trying fixes you (we) need to find the source of the problem.

What are you trying to feed the anemone? Anemones should not be fed anything that is much bigger than their mouth. If you do they can eat the food then spit it back out shortly after the lights go out for the day, so it may look like you are feeding your anemone but in all reality it may still be starving.
