coralhead317
So I have had some success with clownfish breeding and have designed a broodstock and larval systems that will allow me to experiment with other species. I want to know what reefers would want to see bred. I excluded those species which need tons of room to spawn - tangs, large angels, butterfly fish, etc. Some of the fish listed would be real longshots, never been done before - but perhaps still worth a try. We can always dream, John
PIZZA GUY!
I'm going to have to say pufferfish. I voted before reading your post about big fish needing room oops... My puffer wasn't very happy for a few days like "why'd you pull me out of the ocean". Anybody with a puffer here think their puffer talks to them? Glove
Neon Gobies! I always see these fish on dives and they are very cool. I would have 10 of them if it wasnt for the cost. I never understood why these guys are 20-40 dollars and a (red) firefish / dartfish is 9.99. The yellow striped ones are very cool too. I have been tempted several times to pick up a pair of ORA yellow striped. Someday...
SJGreene
I voted for the basslets, mostly because they seem to be a common fish that many people buy. Personally, I'm all for any fish that is tank raised/bred instead of wild caught.
waldend
I think it would be cool to do the blue mandarins. I know it's no longer ground breaking but they are beautiful fish and the survival rates of the wild are so dismal. From what I have read they would be quite a challenge. Yes, that was my favorite fish ever...I have been told they dont live very long in captivity though. Mine only made it a year and a half and died..they are jumpers too. btuck
I voted for the flame hawk, but I would like to see any type of hawk tank raised.
scarpart1984
i really like wild caught fish myself. i think that the more of them i save from the ocean the more that will live long lives in my tiny 75g reef. emporer angles are hands down my favorite fish but to bad they cant be good and not eat the entire tank.
