dogum99
I put 3 chromis in the 200 to make sure anything I used to build rockwalls and tank weren't toxic. How long would you guys say I would be in the clear?

ReefNewby82
Well that didn't last long for them...
Reefer82
That aND maybe send water off for analysis....find out what is in there. It would be no fun to change out half or more of the water to have the same thing happen and pretty much be flying blind as to what exactly killed them. dogum99
They make a filter pad that takes out contaminants don't they?
Luke33
What are your parameters showing? Am? Trites? Trates? Alk? Phos? Calc? Your tank hasn't been up and going very long so i would imagine its not a good idea to put fish in there yet.
dogum99
No3 was 0 last night. It was week old fresh salt water which I have put fish in a lot newer. I really didn't see the need to test any of the others. The fish test run was because I didn't want to blindly put my 125 in there if something were to have leached from something I used on the rock wall. I called Jeremy at modern and ordered a poly filter pad he said would take all contaminates out of the water. I'm going to do a decent sized water change this weekend and maybe another again in a few weeks. Then try another chromis test.
