Westfield
Recently installed an RODI system Yes my tank is only 20 gallon So payback is a little down the road but I am retired and have the time Question. I use a circulation pump and a heating element and a refractometer to make my solution If I make 6 gallon and store 3. How long will the salt etc stay in solution? Yes I will need to raise temp Thanks
MrsBugmaster
Salt does not evaporate so if storing with a lid it will stay the same. If not stored with a lid then the water will evaporate but not the salt, so you will have to add more rodi water to get back to the proper salinity. Now the other things like cal, and mag and trace elements I don't really know. But I think it should be good a week or two anyway. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in. Reefer82
I've had water in a brute can with a lid on it for a month with no issues. The key is circulation and environment. If it's in a dusty 100 degree garage in the summer with no water movement it could get funky but other than that I wouldn't be worried.
