These two, skimz, ati, rlss....etc all the same freakin pump's. I would go as far as saying the octo dc and orphec's are all the same.

 

I can confirm that our Orphek skimmer is using a rebranded Jebao/Jeccod pump. There is no reason to make your own when there is a vendor offering a good pump for the money.

I just ordered my jebao dct 12000 return pump yesterday. Waiting on Jeremy to track me down an icecap sump.

Should I keep my sand bed or get new? It's tropic Eden reef flakes so it was pricey and will be pricey to replace.

Yeah I would definitely rinse it, and would probably do a few new bags personally and not bring it all over. Lotsa junk stirs up when transferring sand from tank to tank and kicks up nitrates in my experience...

Got my icecap sump this weekend and my jebao dct 12000 last weekend. The sump is truly amazing compared to my eshopps sump.

Looks nice! So if your filter socks clog is there a way for the water to escape into the sump instead of on the floor?

Apparently one of my LEDs went out last night. So now I get to turn my attention to fixing it/ adding 24 more LEDs I just ordered. Led school will be back in session real soon lol.

What kind of overflow are you planning to do on the new system.

 

That sump looks really nice and spacious. I like the layout and of course I really like the WHITE!!!!!

I'll probably use what came with the tank to start with. It is a somewhat modified durso. Never had anything but an overflow box since I have never had a drilled tank. New experience for me lol.

Looks good! Good luck with the led fix, did you use MH pendants and gut them?

 

Also the sump looks nice, and glad to see the emergency overflow in the sock department, figured they had something.

 

Also was just going to mention simplicity skimmers brought out two larger skimmers so the 540DC would be a nice skimmer for your tank at $499. Probably the best buy out there currently.

Skimmer is on order from Jeremy. I got the simplicy skimmer 540DC. Will be getting it next week. So hopefully this weekend I can fix my LED's and add the 24 new ones. I am probably going to start the rock wall construction soon. I plan on doing the back wall and around the 2 overflows and then some of the right side.

Fixed and added my new LEDs. Love the new look with red, green and violet in the mix.

Sounds nice, post a pic : ) nice on the skimmer, should be plug and play and you'll love the dc control if you have never had a dc skimmer before. They are awesome when your skimmer is reacting to a chemi clean or something like that in the water column.

This was before. Just blue and white 12 Royal Blue to 6 white per fixture.

 

This is 14 Royal Blue 7 White 1 Red 1 Violet 1 Green Per fixture.
