  1. unless brian brings those sweet corn hole boards and everyone annoys pauls neighbors
  2. i had a battle with it, seemed to work dosing tech-m and monitoring the tank closely till it was gone, just my experience.
  3. lol, but its much more fun to pick on you
  4. looks good paul, 1/2" bit over kill, but makes for durability transporting it. cant wait to see what you come up with for a light hanger.
  5. bummer, hope the next go-round goes better
  6. all my calcium goes directly into my fuge, which sits between my intake and my return
  7. neat little trick i learned was you can use weld-on 16 as a corner bead, incase you may have pin holes, hope it works well, and i wanna see some :sign05:
  8. i used an extruded for my sump, and its ony 1/4" thick, holds up just fine, in all reality, you would appear to have plenty of strength. The only thing i would do, is static test a fill, if the side start to bow too much, put a euro brace on the top and maybe a center support, and you will be fine. just remember that acrylic tends to bow heavily compared to glass, because of the flexible makeup of the material. hope that helps
  9. just thought i would share this, to sum up the cast/extruded thing. Good write up on the processes PS. i know who im bugging next time i do any acrylic work for edges, i hate cleaning them up. and, lets see some :sign05: paul
  10. the side pieces usually sit on top of the bottom piece, the main thing to watch when adhering acrylic is to make sure the edges are as flat and clean as possible, the smoother the acrylic is the better the bond will be. if you need pictures of when i build my sump, go to Photo gallery there are pictures in "fish tank stuff" near the end, of most of my sump building. anything else you need, just give me a call paul, ill be more than glad to assist any way i can. and using non extruded, there are talks of clarity and structural integrity differences, but for the most part, i don't see you running into that with the dimensions you are using.
  11. no i dont remember them, i will find out what they are sometime and here and let ya know, they are really neat, ill probably get one next week if they still have some.
  12. Found this Sun Coral at the LFS, someone convinced me to buy it, just waiting on it to open up now Feeding time!
