  1. I havent been able to log into the site for the last week. I havent been around for a while but my dues should be paid up to date. Can you help me here? Please email me at [email protected]. Not sure if it will even let me get back to your profile to check this message, the contact staff wont work either.

  2. I just made this sump out of an old 29 gal I had for my 75gal tank. Not sure if it will help you but here is a drawing of it. Figure your cubic inches of water that will drain into your sump and how many it will hold above your highest baffle then you can use this calculator to see how many gallons it needs to hold. http://www.onlineconversion.com/volume.htm
  3. Ok, Perfecto is now saying the top brace is not the right size, its a little too small width wise to fit. So my only good option at this point is making a top brace out of Stainless Steel and coating it in POR-15 and hoping for the best, it will obviously be strong enough I am just worried that the silicon might not adhere to the steel like it does the glass. Anyone have any experience with using the silicone on steel?
  4. Tubing is 1.5" .125" wall There is an overhang. I originally planned on building the stand the size of the glass and wanted the wood skin to meet up flush with the trim. I didnt realize at the time that all the weight/support is on the trim, hence the ledge It actually worked out nicely though as my skin will meet up with the bottom of the ledge and make it easy to cover the trim of the tank with something decorative I can incorporate into the skin.
  5. Here are a few shots of the stand.
  6. The trim of the tank supports all the weight and I have seen some post on RC that in that situation do not use Styrofoam but I think it needs something just so long as it doesnt press against the glass bottom
  7. This is still moving along slowly. I have built the stand and I got it coated in POR-15 over the weekend. I plan on building the skin for the stand in the next few months. What would you guys put between the stand and the tank if anything, sheet of plywood, Styrofoam sheet or similar?
  8. I made the top and bottom for the stand and have all the steel just not enough room to put it together right now. I need a bigger garage I also got a Vortec for Christmas that will be going in there.
  9. Still really slow going but I ordered 72 feet of 1.5" square tubing today to get started on the stand.
  10. Unfortunately No I havent had the time or money to mess with it lately. I still have it with the same goal eventually though
  11. He is from Ohio, tell him that people from Ohio have to pay $10.00
  12. I am excited as well about the prizes and all the good livestock that will be there. I will take that Dart I might be bringing a friend from out of state, is he allowed? Seems like I remember non members just having to pay a little more to get in right?
  13. On my 75 gal the tank was set lenghwise with the floor beam so I stacked some concrete blocks up and used a car jack stand and set it to be about 1/4 away from the beam. After filling the tank the beam sank to sit on the jack stand so I guess its good i did that. I am concerned on the 210 I plan on setting up but here is what my plan for it was. The tank will be opposite direction of the floor beams this time so it will span at least 5 them, the spot for the tank is also right up against the main center support for the house, appears to be doubled or trippled up 2x10's there. I was going to repeat my jack stand idea with two pillars of concrete blocks then the jack stands then hopefully a 2 x 10 laying across the jack stands to distribute weight. And then keep a close eye on it and pray HA HA HA!!!
  14. Ya I missed out on the last one, I think I was racing that day or something HA!
  15. I just got some of the DT's in from Premium and I couldnt see a single pod HAHA. however they do say you need to use a flashlight to see them but others I have ordered in the past were visible, barely but still visible. I guess in a few weeks I will start looking over the tank to see if I can spot any. I would love to grab some from Inland one day, or even just go check that place out!!
