  1. Sure thing D-Man! I've found a nice LFS around here called Fish and Other Ichthy Things. I hear they also sell stuff online. They do have some nice corals and really good prices. There is supposed to be a really good reef shop in St. Pete that I might check out this weekend. Yeah when I visit indmas it just makes me feel close to home!! Take care and keep in touch. You ever get your green polyped sarco? Mine is finally big enough to frag if your still lookin. Thanks Brion and Willy. I just changed the bulbs in the Giesemann to the 14K Pheonix bulbs and I can tell these bulbs are going to give me the blue I'm after. Those 13K megachromes are not quite enough. Happy new year everybody! Somebody eat some King Ribs for me!! Chris
  2. Hey Christy, Yeah I got all my stuff from Premium finally. I was surprised how much growth I got in that time. Just about all my corals atleast doubled in size LOL.. For some reason a few of my corals colors were not good for a while like my zoo's for instance were a lot darker coloration for a while but are slowly snappin out of it. The green sarcophyton took about a month or so for the polyps to come out but its looking really good and pretty good sized too. How's everything in Bloomington? Whats new with you? Havent talked to you in a while. Happy New Year!! Chris
  3. Hi Everybody in Indy!! Greetings from Tampa Fla.. As some of you know I moved to Tampa about 6 mos ago now. When I moved I decided that was the time to replace my ugly 15yr old Oceanic with the HOB overflow. After seeing a bunch of pics of others tanks this is what I came up with: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c16/cweg...de/P1010135.jpg A special thanks to Jay and Jeremy at Premium Aquatics for putting up with my incessent "Is it in yet???" calls and so forth... So far everything is great. The Giesemann light fixture is definatley the icing on the cake. Very nice indeed. You know I like the T5 actinic coloration too!! I think the 13K HQI's are a lot brighter and more crisp white, maybe even a slight hint of blue than the 10K Ushio SE's and VHO's on the PFO ballast I had before. I just wanted to say hello to my friends in Indy. Oh and I am sortof kicking around the idea of selling my 175 BRAND NEW, not one drop of water ever in, 175 oceanic bowfront RR too. I'm just thinkin that I might go bigger on my next tank when we get in our house down here. Its sitting in my moms garage collecting dust in Indy right now. Happy Holidays, Chris[/url]
  4. Don't forget Magnesium dosing is important too!!! range should be 1300 - 1500 I believe... It will help in getting Ca and Alk in balance.
  5. OK well for what its worth here's my story about depression, I don't really like talking about it but if my experience can help somebody then that would make me feel good. My older sister was diagnosed with (lets see if I spell this right) Pschitzophrenia/Manic depression when I was a teen ager. She had some serious issues. I think some of those issues was because of her recreational drug use to be honest but anyways... She did have bouts of serious depression. During these times of serious depression she did have a lot of things going on in her life.. She got pregnant by a guy and he disapeared, she was a VERY emotional person to begin with. For one reason or another she lost her job and moved back in with me and my mom and dad. She started behaving really wierd, don't really know if it was the medication she was on or the mental disorder or whatever but she would have like spontaneous outbursts of laughter and other strange behavior. Trust me for a 15yr old kid watching this stuff it was a trip. I'll never forget it I tell you that. I had to get the hell out of the house so I just started riding my bike all over the place for hours just to be away from the crazyness. My sister ended up committing suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning by starting the car in the garage. So they say depression is a hereditary thing. Maybe so I don't know. I think sometimes in some circumstances depression is justified and some people do have real mental health issues that need to be treated with medication. Most people though could benefit much greater by exercise. When I started biking all over town I noticed after a while my mood was soo much better and I was a lot happier and outgoing. It wasn't until when I was in college that I learned of the physiological effects of exercise. When you exercise your body releases endorphins. The same chemicals these mood altering drugs trigger your body to release to make you happy. Only thing is that exercise is natural. I think modern pharmacology can never really replicate what should happen naturally in our brains without side effects and of course all medications don't effect all people the same way. So I guess the point I am trying to make is that a good majority of the depressed people might try and give exercise a shot. In my case it worked for me. Be good to yourself. I'm OUT!!! 8O
  6. Holly Cow!! Last time I had a bed bounce up and down like that it cost me about 27 dollars in quarters in a cheap hotel....
  7. Hey Chuck, About 6 mos ago or so I bought a large rock of blue zoo's.. I paid thru the nose and I noticed that it had a little white fuzzy stuff on them in a little spot. I picked that off and stuck it in the tank. Well... about 2 weeks later I had a bare rock. Totally ticked me off. That really stinks. Sorry about that but I think its happend to about all of us at one time or another. BTW all my other zoo's were fine and never had any adverse effects after the incident. Chris
  8. Well I posted a message a month or so ago about the best vet... Well my dog's condition had deteriorated over the past week. She was having problems getting around (she had 3 legs) and she was having problems with digestion too. My mom had to put her to sleep.. She had a mass on her heart that finally caught up to her. I'm sad but we could not let her suffer. The vets said that the mass was not operable for several reasons. We will miss her.
  9. Woah!!!!!! OMG... Your sooo lucky... Nice save..
  10. Rolino's is inside the loop on washington street. I think about 3 or 4 lights. Its not deep dish but it sure is good. As far as Chicago I like Gino's.. The crust is differnent... I think its made from cornbread. Not too shabby. I haven't tried Giordano's though.
  11. There is this pizza place on west Washington street called Rolino's. Its very close to where Melody skateland used to be. Anyways, I tell you that is some very good pizza. We stopped by there on the way back from the airport one night and man am I glad I did. Its a family owned business, not like Noble Romans or anything. If you live on the west side or thereabouts try em out. Good stuff. Sortof reminds me of the old Godfather's pizza we used to have in Indy. Chris
