  1. Just a friendly wave to old friends. Tank and stock was sold to Brandon at the beginning of the year. However the itch has returned…. 😀😳
  2. Going to be selling off corals and eventually equipment in the coming weeks. The time has come to move on. If anyone interested in jumping in line before I start posting corals here shoot me a text. 317-946-4022 coral list: Date Night Paly's Fruit Loop Zoa Gorilla Nipple Zoa’s Scrambled Egg's Zoa's JF Fairy Tale Zoa's Utter Chaos Zoa's Rainbow Incinerator Zoa's Purple Rhodactus Mushroom Green/Purple Rhodactus Mushroom Pink/Purple Yuma Mushroom Candy Cane Coral Colony Purple Gorgs Pink Blasto Jack-O-Lantern Lepto Bejewled Favia Unnamed Yellow Favia Tyree Neon Green Toadstool (Long Polyp) Neon Green GSP Rainbow Clove Polyps Nirvana Paly Mandarin Orange Zoa Grandis Paly Yellow Submarine Favia
  3. Haha thanks man. I enjoy looking at it but I just don’t have that drive to add more corals or anything like that. Trust me there is a couple spots for more zoas.
  4. Well..... Its still going, however I still don't have that reefing bug that I used to have. Last month it turned 4 yrs old. Here is a photo from Feb 2020, and Feb 2021. Quite a difference in a year.
  5. Looks good. How many fish are in there? I know you said you had a 25G sump, but I would worry about room to swim when they get larger.
  6. So this will most likely be my last photo shared of this little nano. This has been quite the ride for my first saltwater tank, however lately have just not been as excited about the tank and/or reefing in general. Still not sure what is going to happen with the tank, but I'm walking away from things for awhile. Thank you to everyone I have met, bounced ideas off of, and to the club for giving all of us a place to enjoy this hobby together.
  7. My NUVO 10 was started with live rock and some live bacteria. It worked, but I still lost fish in the beginning. Personally for me, in the future if I ever start up a tank again, it would go through a full natural cycle. Rushing in this hobby isn't a great idea in my honest opinion. Also if you get in the habit doing 2 gallon waterchanges weekly, you don't need a skimmer. Save that money for frags!
  8. If ballgames are a rain out, I will probably be there. I have a few coral that need a trimming.
  9. Thanks! I had Jermey at Modern bring them in for me.
  10. Well that sucks, but I think its the best for all. Sadly, unless things change hobby wise for me, my last INDMAS swap was last year.
  11. I don't know about you all, but I've found a fondness for favia's lately. Here are two of the newest additions. A Yellow Submarine and a Spicy Lemon.
  12. Would love to try to attend, but the oldest turns 13 Saturday and I don't think that's what she has in mind for a birthday celebration. Have fun everyone!
  13. Thanks. Not full enough yet. The plan was to upgrade, but I cannot find the tank I want to upgrade to, so this will continue to be the path I am on. Its been up for 3.5 years, so whats another 3.5, right?
  14. Picked up a haul of corals, rock, and a new media basket last week. From a local reefer and from Modern Aquatix. I believe I'm dealing with a diatom issue here. I do not get any film on the glass overnight but during the day I do. I have been advised to just keep doing waterchanges and it should pass in time. I also have a couple spots of GHA that I'm going to dab some Hydrogen Peroxide on during my next water change. Hopefully that will kill it off. I'm running chemi-pure blue in my media basket, but I have also added some carbon and phosphate pads in the basket to try and combat this issue. Lost by beautiful ORA birdsnest last week too. Accidentally dropped it onto the hammer coral over the weekend and was going to frag off the good pieces, but it was gone before I got home the next day. Dang bummer as it was beautiful, but it is what it is I guess. I've also lost the Red Digi that was growing so well. Not sure what happened with it, but I'm going to try one more time with a bubblegum digi eventually. Well here are a couple newer photos of the tank. I've placed the corals and also put in some more rock. The new rock and gives me a little more room to add a few more corals in the future. Oh and here is an updated coral list: Yellow Hammer (meshed into a green 🤷‍♂️ ) Splatter Hammer Date Night Paly's Cornbred Rainbow Infusion Paly's Rasta Zoa Fruit Loop Zoa Gorilla Nipple Zoa’s Scrambled Egg's Zoa's JF Fairy Tale Zoa's Utter Chaos Zoa's Rainbow Incinerator Zoa's Purple Rhodactus Mushroom Green/Purple Rhodactus Mushroom Pink/Purple Yuma Mushroom Candy Cane Coral Colony Purple Gorgs Pink Blasto Jack-O-Lantern Lepto Bejewled Favia Unnamed Yellow Favia Tyree Neon Green Toadstool (Long Polyp) Neon Green GSP Grim Reaper Torch Rainbow Clove Polyps Kedds Reds Zoas Nirvana Paly Gobstopper Paly Mandarin Orange Zoa Grandis Paly Yellow Submarine Favia
  15. Path for this tank is slightly changing. I would like to get a torch again and put it in an isolated place in the tank. Mainly in preparation to finally pull the trigger on a newer tank.
  16. I've had these issues with Euphyilla. In my case, not saying its yours, it wasn't good and the outcome wasn't good either. I've narrowed it down to a change in temperature during waterchanges as everything else was spot on. At least that is what I feel the reason for my losses. I'm very careful now of the temperature of the tank and freshly mixed water. My water volume is much lower than yours as well.
  17. Thanks! unfortunally I don’t believe I will be attending the meeting or the swap. 🤷‍♂️😞
  18. https://www.redbubble.com/people/tehSAC/shop So I know we all have different feelings on masks and the pandemic going on. However I don’t want to make this political or push an agenda. My wife works on the front lines in the ICU and the importance of masks are real to me and my family. I’ve taken a few of my favorite photos of my tank and have made them into masks. If interested the link is above. Buy them and be stylish when you visit your LFS.
  19. I'm running one on my NUVO 10, and I agree it was overwhelming. I went with the BRS AB+ setup as a base, and removed all whites, greens, and reds. I also slowly acclimated my tank/corals over 3 months using the acclimation setting. Been running with that since August of last year.
  20. Thank you! It’s slowly getting to where I want it to be. Hopefully by year end I’ll be running out of room for corals.
  21. Tank is starting to show some consistent growth. The SPS trial run is doing better than I thought, but no intention of adding anymore to this tank. Only issue is with the Yellow favia. Its been receding quite a bit over the past few weeks. Had some cyano issues and I think it effected it the most. This tank is stocked with mostly frags from members of this club. There are only a few frags in this tank that have been bought at swaps that continue to grow and be happy. That is special to me because it really says we have a great group of members here, and their frags are great quality! On that note, I hope everyone is continuing to be safe, and healthy.
  22. Hope everyone is staying safe out there. Nothing new is going on with the tank. Had some cyano issues a couple weeks back, and upped the flow to get rid of it. The additional flow really pissed off the acans and sadly I have lost them. The cyano took out the rainbow hornets too, which was a bummer, but life goes on.
  23. I know some that use it and enjoy it. I cut the cable a year ago. We already had Netflix, but we added Hulu Live and Disney+. I have had no regrets cutting the cord. Honestly I have more to watch now than I did with Dish. Well I should restate that, my wife and kids have more to watch than they did before. I rarely watch TV haha.
