  1. I had one for a year until my DT busted. Eventually he would eat our of my hand. For the first month he was very timid. I had assumed part of it was I only had him in a 120. I really should have waited for a larger tank.
  2. I could never get an accurate phosphate level when I had my turf scrubber going.
  3. I only ask because some dry rock will leach phosphates for months after its added. I ran into it with my last tank and others have as we'll.
  4. If you have algae growing it can be hard to get an accurate phosphate reading.
  5. Turf scrubber. I had it in mine until I built my turf scrubber, then it slowly died away. I tried crabs never saw them touch the stuff.
  6. It hangs above the tank from the ceiling. It's old but I'm sure I can get one of them fired up.
  7. I have a 175 watt MH pendant you could borrow.
  8. Scott isn't the only one there that would ask. I had to convince PA when I bought my 2 sets of clowns that I had an adequate setup to handle it. I've rarely been lead astray by any advice I've gotten there. I still do my own research to make sure, but I would do that anywhere. Honestly In all my years of going to PA I've rarely had a negative experience.
  9. I'm begging Steph to let me go, but we have family in from out of town. I'm bummed I'm going to miss seeing the tank.
  10. It is possible to overskim. Especially for mushrooms and zoas.
  11. I went years. I however planned for the system to be skimmerless from the start. Either way it should hurt anything for a short time.
  12. Good to see you around again Doug. I always was impressed with your tanks. Sorry the LED never worked for you.
