Does that urchin have a Xenia growing on top of it or is that just a photo coincidence?

Tubs Stellata with an interesting growth. Encrusted for a long time until I turned down my lights and now is extending little branches up. -
https://youtu.be/y5XcslBFLBE Hopefully this link will work. Basically water overflows a baffle into the center section of a 75 then exits the middle section through another baffle with teeth and a sponge to help keep the Chaeto out of the final pump chamber.

How do I post a short video ? I tried a 10 second video at 730p and apparently that is too long.

Always wanted to try this and it actually is working really well with this new setup.

A few years ago I got a small cut opening a beer on a beach, went swimming in the ocean and a few hours later was in a medcheck getting some antibiotics. Funky bacteria in seawater.

Welcome and you should come out to a meeting and meet some of us. -

Have you ever watched that show gold rush? The water flows down a slope and the gold gets caught in the low spaces while the high ridges stay exposed. If you had enough flow I suspect that would happen with the sand.

Interesting idea. The base support frame would obviously need to be sloped to match, it might work but there might be eccentric forces due to the angle that would be hard to predict. I do have a 45 degree end panel, so from a construction standpoint you could do it. Personally I like more open Rock with sand bottom and with the slope I am not sure if the sand would stay in place.

These are fish I am considering for a new tank, planning early so I can introduce them in the correct order. Also hoping for feedback.

I will be there, bringing cupcakes, trumpet, and low tech mystery gift.

Filling the tank now and I had one portion of dry rock / foam float to the surface, I guess the rock to foam ratio was not enough to hold it down. I will pile some live rock on it when the tank is full and running. The sides and back are holding down okay, I added a few more dabs of silicone along the top to stick them to the tank better.
