I want to say thank you to everyone for coming out the swap this past weekend. I also want to thank all of the hobbyist and vendors. We had a great attendance for the new venue. And a big thank you to all the volunteers and staff who helped to pull this together on setup, during the event, and tear down. We have lots of new members and lots of renewals. We hope that everyone will continue to stick around and I really hope to get the forums going again.6 points

We are excited to host. My mom is making it covid safe. We will be setup for the swap and food on the patio. All the food is individually wrapped and drinks in coolers outside. We will have beer, pop and water. The food is subs, chips and cookies. My tank is doing so so right now so I'd always love suggestions. My mom said masks on in the house. We have a lot of tables and chairs for outside. Looking forward to seeing everyone.5 points

So Jenn and I have been absent for a while now...and some of you may already know now that we are expecting our first child mid September. We are both very excited. We (I lol) have been working tirelessly on projects around the house the last few months to prepare for our baby boy. Here is one of them that we are proud of. My aunt is an artist and is helping us with a coral reef mural on one wall of the nursery. We are nowhere near done yet but here is a sneak peak of what we wrapped up today....5 points

I got an adult Interruptus angle almost 2 years ago and have been on the look out for a juvenile to pair it with. In February I was finally able to get my hands on a juvenile. After quarantine and observation tank for a while I put her in acclimation box in DT for 2 days. Just released her today. Minor chasing for the first couple of hours as seen in the video, and now they are good! No more chasing or posturing. I really am surprise and happy on how well the introduce went. (sorry for the reflections on the glass and all the micro bubbles in tank) https://youtu.be/ykhJowdcLh8 https://youtu.be/fMlf_42tTEM5 points

Hi everyone, hope the reefing has been well these days, I miss it! I just wanted to recognise the fact you all have Sanjay speaking at the swap this year. For anyone that doesn't know this, he is like the Bill Gates of lighting in the reefing world. I will 100% be at this event and everyone should attend this. I just wanted to tell indmas staff that they did an excellent job! I'm pumped! Thanks, Luke5 points

Update on these guys. All is well and they have doubled in size! Found a few more shortly after my first post. A week ago had a couple die do to some kind of slime/bacteria that was covering the two anemone. I think it was caused by some leftover food. With a new total of 20 babies! I hope to not have anymore loses.5 points

I’m pretty new to this group and I don’t know many, but everyone was so awesome tonight. Made my daughters week being able to help as much as she could. Cannot wait for tomorrow! Thank you everyone that helped make this event possible because it gave me a chance to experience new corals I was never exposed too. A special thanks to vendors such as modern aquatix and Fish nerds corals for having phenomenal coral selection. Also thank you to everyone that was welcoming to questions and being so helpful. I thank all of you for this wonderful day that I have had. Looking forward to seeing all of you in April.4 points

Figured out what the nitrate spike was... It was user error. My nitrates were actually 1.9ppm. Make sure you clean the Hanna checker bottles super well. It can leave nitrite in it and throw off your tests. Also thank you @MrsBugmaster. I hope other start updating their threads and maybe we can get this web alive again!4 points

Algae Barn has ORA T.Gigas clams in stock right now. I have not seen them available for 3 years. They are 5" and cost 500 clams. If you want one don't wait. I had one in the past and it got gigantic. I am going to stick with my deresa this time. If you get one there will be a large increase in calcium demand in your tank. I figured I would put it out to the club. If any of yu buy one I would like to know about it . Merry Christmas and Happy Reefing everyone.4 points

Sorry, I didn't see some of these lasts posts until this am (Sun). Spoke or texted with a number of the above, But wanted to say thank you for all pitching in and bringing food & drinks etc. I hope some of you who took pictures will post them here because this was great time. WHAT A BLAST! Really enjoyed getting to meet some of the new members. Haven't spent anytime looking for a stray mermaid, but haven't noticed her yet either.... There may have to be some form of retribution to those delinquents who aided in or instigated of hiding of said mermaid.... LOL. 14,236 days... made it through another one!4 points

Will try to make it, at least for a bit. It's been a little crazy the past year and just we just welcomed our daughter Kara to the family this weekend and a nice break outside in the sun on that deck just might do the trick! I'm off for a couple weeks, if weather cooperates I'll try and smoke something tasty.4 points

Hey Guys! I just wanted to take a second and introduce myself! My Name is Kyle Delello and I have been in the Hobby for a couple years. I run a Red Sea 750XXL and I am a major fish nerd. I have some soft coral and LPS, but my tank is dedicated to the fish! I don't have a good excuse as to why it took me so long to join here, other than I spend tons of time on Reef2Reef as I am a moderator there. 3fordfamily is a very good friend of mine, I HOPE THAT DOESNT COUNT AGAINST ME I also have 6 QT's in my basement as I am a major fish disease nerd and I am constantly trying new methods for treatment for the betterment of our hobby. Look forward to meeting some local hobbyists!!!4 points

It depends. For ones where you see a progression of the amount of white let's say then yes that's typically the way. But a lot of these designers are by mixing various strains or even species. For example, the long fins were a naturally occurring 1 in a million fish that they then mated with another fish for production, maybe a sibling but maybe not. The point being it wasn't a line bred situation that I typically refer to as a "strain". This convo has sparked my interest. I am going to ask some people about it to see what they say. I will let you know.4 points

Thank you for hosting Bill. Your aquarium and system are terrific! What a great time seeing everyone, and there was enough food for twice the crowd. Joining Indmas just a few short years ago was one of my better moves, not only for all the collective knowledge, but to meet such a great group of people. I wish all of you a safe, relaxing, and Merry Christmas!4 points

Hello Indy! I'm looking forward to coming out next weekend to speak. For anyone that's looking to get some SPS frags PM me your email and I can email a list with photos with what I have. Unfortunately I was a recent victim as all other Photobucket users were and can no longer show my photobucket photos online. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Thanks in advance. Copps4 points
