How to shut off RODI waste water with float valve

Recommended Posts

Your photo looks normal to me. When you run the unit waste water will be produced so you’re supposed to have waste water coming out. The valve in the photo appears to be a membrane flush valve. Now if that is on, the waste water will be coming out very strong. Plus you won’t produce clean water at a proper rate.

I don’t know anything about an automatic shutoff you say you need. Nothing on mine is automatic. Turn a valve open it runs turn the valve closed it’s off. 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is the auto shut off valve. It looks like you have one. Check to make sure it is installed properly. There is a "in" and "out" marked on them. The valve may need to be replaced.

I know on my unit the waste water continues for 5-10 minutes before it reaches the back pressure required to shut  the water flow off. It does work but maybe give it more time to shut off(hopefully that’s it).
