Jer
Hello, Anyone know what that small string thing coming out of live rock is? Got a bunch, seem to come more out at night. They stretch out and shrink back into live rock. They don't seem to be hurting anything. Are they some type of feather duster? Thanks, Jer
waldend
Seems to me maybe the leg of a brittle star. If not just some kind of worm. I would say good stuff and would have no worry if I saw in my reef.

Gonzo620
I had these in my old 90 and a few in my new 180 in the beginning 6 months or so. One day I just didn’t see them anymore. If you find out what they are Id like to know.
airmotive
I don't know the name, but there are tube worms that extend long sticky tentacles to capture food. The worms then reel the tentacles back in and eat whatever gets stuck to them.
coralfarm123
Digitate Hydroid is what they are called. They are mildly irritating to some coral like zoas and palys. They usually go away on their own.
