lrood
I didn't realize they were that much of a problem. About 5 years ago I added 5, still have 3.
Budman
I have seen them kept successfully. But most have had trouble thought I would try to keep a group. Such a simple fish if successful looks great in a group.
Gorgi
I've kept 6 in a 75 with no problems and were model citizens with one another. They did become more aggressive when they started breeding. During that time they make an audible clicking grunting sound. Their blue green coloration is more intense and a yellow hue appears. My six lived for several years with no problems. Same result when i had a school in a 40b (6 of them). Never have lost one in my experiences. I also paid about 9.00 each as juveniles and all were extremely healthy. Maybe i was lucky enough to have more females than males in the pecking order and there is a hierarchy. They were also feed well with cyclops, brine, mysis, rods, fish roe, krill and daphnia.
Indymann99
I have had 4x Blue Green Chromis for about 4.5 yrs now. I think the largest reason for success is that EACH needs to have a spot in the rock to sleep at night. If they are competing for a safe spot to sleep they will pick each other off.
