Westfield
Every now and then I get what looks like snow on some of my rock peaks/edges Under blue light it glows like snow My numbers are good Any Ideas?
Luke33
So it comes and goes? Sounds like precipitation from calc, but if your numbers are good that is odd. If they are tiny little white hard things they may be spirorbis spp, which are pretty harmless. Or could be clusters of small pods.
JWags911SC
I hope your not seeing Montipora Eating Nudibranches, I'm having an issue with those right now and they look a little like snowflakes.

splix
I'd double check mag. When mag is low, calcium carbonate is formed due to the imbalance of the 3. Too much excess calcium (even if your calc ppm is normal) is allowed to bind with carbonate atoms easily since magnesium is what sort of keeps the two apart. It's the white crust that forms on your heaters even though they're under water. It's not salt burned onto them, it's calcium carbonate.
