Guy Harvey restaurant aquarium

Recommended Posts

We go to St Pete Beach at least once a year for vacation and usually stay at the Guy Harvey resort (part of Tradewinds). Last year they added a new restaurant with a 33,500 gallon aquarium. This build was featured on the "Tanked" show. While not a reef tank, it is still a really cool thing to see. They also have 2 separate 700 gallon tanks in the new area - a lion fish tank in the bar, and another general fowlr tank. The huge system offers snorkeling twice a day, and behind the scenes tours of the "guts" of the system. They have a 2500 gallon quarantine tank. Water changes are twice a month 4-6000 gallons, and they mix their own water.

On the far left of the above shot you can just see a curved area. This is a walk-under spot that allows viewing from the side and up above. Their nurse shark likes to lay up there. Overall a pretty nice setup for a restaurant to invest in.
