Imjustgud
I have a sponge that is bursting all around a piece of rock with a bunch of yellow polyps. Has anyone successfully split these up and how did you do it?
stewed125
Heard of putting them in a blender and then dumping it back in.
pwoller
I have a sponge that is bursting all around a piece of rock with a bunch of yellow polyps. Has anyone successfully split these up and how did you do it? The sponge on the bottom of the rock? I've never done it but cant you just chip some of the rock off that has the sponge attached? Dustin1300
I don't think you'll need to be too precise, just keep them underwater and don't expose to air! Sharp razor and it will cut like butter!
Imjustgud
Seems too simple. Used to everything being hard like plumbing and lighting. I have heard the same about keeping it all underwater. I will try doing a nice clean cut, toothpicking it to a rock in the next few days and seeing what happens. Really is cool stuff. Has gone nuts since I started dosing phtyo too. Thank you all.
Msr224
If that's anything like the sponge in my tank you can just reachin and rip a hunk off....no fancy razor blades or water needed.... I've ripped bunch out and thrown it away cause it's been overgrowing some of my corals.
