IUFan Posted October 8, 2015 Report Share Posted October 8, 2015 Neither. I don't use GFO or do water changes. Phosphate is regularly around .50. SPS is doing just fine. Reefaddict12 Posted October 9, 2015 Report Share Posted October 9, 2015 You could always switch over to a turf scrubber and you could eliminate the need of phosban or gfo. I just got done building DIY one with a pump I had laying around. I only spent like $30 for all the pvc piping, clamp on light, and the lightbulb. If u think about it a pound of gfo cost around $20. So it will eventually pay for its self. I was thinking about doing the lanthanum chloride but I probly would have screwed it up and ruined my tank.
