UV Filter - DE HQI

So I bought a used Oceanic Biocube. The good news was that it had the 150W HQI clamp on light, the bad news is that it did not have the glass UV shield that the Coralife unit now has. I want to run a Phoenix 14K bulb and it is not a UV shielded bulb. As a side note this is very bad, you can cook your corals, burn your eyes, and several other bad things that can happen when running an unshielded bulb. So I did some research and bought a piece of True Vue Conservation Grade glass that blocks 99% of UV rays from a custom framing shop for $10. This replaced the aluminum grate and fits like a glove.

The question I have is does this all sound good? I am using the glass cover over the aquarium as well so there is little chance that the light/glass will be splashed.

Any thoughts?
